Lab diamonds—also known as lab-created, man-made, cultured, or engineered diamonds—are grown in highly controlled laboratory environments that replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form deep within the Earth. Made of carbon atoms arranged in the same crystal structure as natural diamonds, they possess identical optical and chemical properties.
At Mavitrra, we proudly offer a curated collection of premium lab-grown diamonds, combining beauty, innovation, and sustainability for the modern jewelry lover.

Lab-created diamonds at Mavitrra begin as tiny carbon seeds derived from existing diamonds. Using advanced technology, scientists simulate the natural diamond-forming process through one of two methods—High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Over a period of 6 to 10 weeks, these seeds grow into rough diamonds, which are then expertly cut, polished, and transformed into stunning jewelry like earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
Two Methods of Lab Diamond Creation:
HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature): This technique mimics the Earth’s natural forces by exposing carbon to extreme pressure (over 870,000 PSI) and temperatures of 1300–1600°C, producing high-quality diamonds.
CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition): In this process, a diamond seed is placed in a vacuum chamber filled with carbon-rich gases. Once heated, the gases break down, allowing carbon layers to build up on the seed and form a diamond. Some CVD diamonds are further enhanced with heat and pressure treatments.
To the naked eye, there’s no difference between natural, HPHT, and CVD diamonds. Only specialized equipment can detect the growth origin—ensuring you get all the beauty of a natural diamond, with the added benefit of sustainability.
